TENSES

1.      PRESENT TENSE : Kegiatan yang dilakukan sehari-hari, berulang-ulang

      A. Nominal (To be : is, am, are)

Formula:

(+) S + To be + Noun, Adjective, Adverb of Place

(- ) S + To be + Not + Noun, Adjective 

Example :

SUBJECT	To be	Noun, Adjective
I	Am	A woman, chair, book
YOU WE THEY	Are	Clean, dirty, fat, small, dizzy
HE SHE IT	Is	At home, at school, outside, in my house

      B. Verbal ( To be : do, does)

Formula :

(+ ) S + V1 + O

( - ) S + DO/DOES + not +v1

Example :

SUBJECT	V1		OBJECT
I YOU WE THEY	Study		English everyday
HE SHE	Eats	A cake

2.      PRESENT CONTINUOUSE TENSE : Pekerjaan yang sedang berlangsung (saat ini)

·         Formula :

(+) S + To be (is, am, are) + V1 + ing + O

(- ) S + To be + not + V1 + ing + O

·         Example :

Ø  I am drinking milk

Ø  Lisa is sitting on the chair

Ø  They are eating meatball

3.      PRESENT FUTURE TENSE :  kegiatan/pekerjaan yang akan dilakukan

·         Formula : S + Will/ Shall + V1

·         Example :

SUBJECT	WILL/SHALL	V1	OBJECT
I WE	Shall	Go	To school
HE SHE IT YOU	Will	Swim	In the river

4.      PRESENT PERFECT  TENSE : pekerjaan yang sudah dilakukan

·         Formula  : S + HAVE/HAS + V3

·         Example :

SUBJECT	HAVE/HAS	VERB 3	OBJECT
I YOU WE THEY	Have	Gone	To your house
HE SHE IT	Has	worked	In the factory
